Michael grew up in Ferndale and Troy, Michigan. As a child he spent several summers at the family farm near Monroe City, Indiana. After spending four years in the US Navy, he moved to California, attended Santa Ana College, and met his first wife in an Algebra class. Michael married in 1968. Lives at Laguna Beach, Cal. Michael worked in lithography, medical care, and computers. He is currently a software Quality Assurance Analyst.
