To find a person’s name

When you are on the database of your choice, click either on Noms or Index or else write the person’s name on Chercher. You will obtain the person’s family file (Fiche de famille). Note: Compound given names can be written with or without a hyphen. Try both spellings when doing your research.

This file will give you also the wife’s or husband’s name and the wedding date and place. Their parents are above each of them and their children below the couple. If you click on one of the parents or children, the family file will be obtained and so on. Directly under the picture are written number and names of other spouses or husbands.

To obtain more information on a person

Click on a name of the principal couple and you will get its detailed individual file (Fiche individuelle). To return to the family file, use the Return key of the navigator.

To obtain a family tree

Click on the tree sign at the right of the person’s name. To obtain the complete lineage of this individual up to the first known ancestor, click on one of the names in the right column of the tree. The rest of the tree will appear. Repeat the exercise if necessary.
